Safco Go Cart? Mobile Cart Gray

For starters, a few days before I got my hands of a 12 compartment desk top organizer, by the same manufacturer. The assembly was a breeze, very, very simple instructions [mostly pictures]. All the pieces had labels on them and it was so ez I wanted to build another one.
My new GoCart was dropped off by UPS, but the box looked like it had been air dropped instead, without it's parachute.
Surprise 1: every one of the file tubes [4 of them] were broken at the same point on each one. I just repaired them myself, with glue, and they seemed to heal satisfactorily. After surprise 2 I certainly didn't want to get involved in anymore go cart "pre use" activity, like returning and waiting for replacements...
Surprise 2: Only some of the parts were labeled, the pieces were all black, and the only way to figure what piece was what [for the most part] was to try to count the little holes and use their positions as a constellation map with the numerous pieces scattered...Read more

My unit came in with a small piece of laminate broken off, so check yours carefully before you put it together. There is only one thing I do not like about this unit. You may not notice it in the picture, but the hanging file folders in the top are in 4 separate plastic holders, or dividers. So, the files do not move freely from front to back. If the hanging file folders in one section are too tight, you must pull it out of that section and insert it into one of the other sections. You cannot put as many hanging file folders into the unit as you normally would, because each section must have its own slack or unused space so that the files can be moved enough to open one up.

I bought this to replace my filing cabinet, which had gotten quite worn. Overall, I probably wouldn't buy this again, but it will do for a few years.

First, let me echo the other reviewers: the instructions on this piece make it quite difficult to assemble, and this is not helped by the fact that all of the hardware (screws, cams, cam-locks, etc) come in one huge jumbled bag. Separating out the parts, and putting stickers that label each piece of wood, has become pretty standard these days, and Safco needs to catch up with the new standard in flat-pack furniture.

Second, the hanging file portion of this cart doesn't hold enough in the way of files. Becaue the plastic inserts are sloped, you can only put about 75% as many files as you would otherwise expect to be able to, given the length. This is a big disappointment.

Finally, the pull-out drawers feel exceptionally cheap.
