Ameriwood Expert Plum Mobile File

It's functional and low priced, but I would rather spend a little more and get something that is a bot more solid. I saw a great file cabinet at [...] for $179 -- solid wood, good furniture, real hardware for hanging the files. This thing here is a complete fraud -- pressboard with plastic do-hickeys that hold it together (one of them broke as I was assembling it). Really, this is a piece of landfill... where it will end up after a few years of holding my meager files; then I might buy something more authentic.

I THOUGHT ALL PACKAGES WERE SHIPPED IN [HEAVY PACKAGING MATERIAL]. BUT THIS WAS IN SHAMBLES & PARTS WERE MISSING. IT WAS THROWN TOGETHER WITH PLASTIC SHOPPING BAGS FOR STUFFING MATERIAL & OTHER PLASTICE MATERIAL LIKE BREAD BAGS FOR SUPPORT SUPPOSINGLY. IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS HIT BY A TORNADO..IT HAD OPEN HOLES ON THE TOP,BOTTOM & SIDES. IT IS NO WONDER PIECES WERE MISSING. [NO STRAPPING OR SHIPPING TAPE EITHER..] YOU AT [AMIZON] DO OR DID NOT KNOW THIS AS YOU DID NOT PACK THIS AS I WAS TOLD BY A REP FROM YOUR COMPANY. THE PRODUCT ITSELF BARELEY SURVIVED THE SHIPPING & IT WAS SENT TO ME BY WAY OF FEDEX SHIPPING........

This product is fantastic. I read other customers' reviews and was worried but decided for the price I'd take a chance. I could not be more pleased. Set up was so easy. All Ameriwood products are basically the same and thus are simple. The directions are all pictures with few words, however, words are not needed as this is very easy to follow. The pieces arrived unscratched and in great condition. All of my pieces were lettered correctly. Set up took about 10 minutes. Couldn't be happier with my filing cabinets (I own two now after being so happy with the first). Overall this is a great, elegant piece that is functional, well priced, and ships in 1 day, not the 2-3 it says. Couldn't be happier!
